Crazy week!
The past week was just crazy! My mom had surgery on Tuesday. She got a gastric bypass, because she has a high blood pressure and heavy diabetes. She was a ticking time bomb, so she really needed this surgery. Fortunately, everything went well and she could go home the next day. Though she’s still in pain, she’s feeling alot better now!

One week..
It’s only one week until my mother’s surgery and I can tell she’s really nervous about it. She’s cleaning everything and everytime to try to keep it off her mind. She’s also very quiet and when I try to talk about it, she’ll change the subject.
I don’t really know what to do except for being there for her. I got two weeks off from work so I can stay home...

No Dublin for me..
So my trip to Dublin got cancelled, because the budget was too small. Instead, they’re going to Paris. But I don’t want to go to Paris. I was really looking forward to go to Dublin. My favourite band is from Dublin! I had everything planned already; pubs I wanted to go to, musea I wanted to visit while in Dublin. But it’s not gonna happen..

Goodbye 2012...
Dear 2012,
Thank you so much for everything! I’ve finally met my newborn cousin, saw my family from Vancouver again after two years, made lots of new friends, been to 7 amazing concerts, got my first shot of tequilla and I’ve found a job that I like and that I can combine with school.
So I would like to thank you for all the laughter, but also for all the tears I’ve shed....

Yesterday, I went to see an exhibition about Indians in North America. It was interesting, but yet I was disappointed. Little was shown about Indians; like the different Indian tribes, their habits and traditions. What the exhibition did show was Indians in several cartoons, carpets, sculptures and dishes made by Indians. It felt more like I was walking in a store than that I was at an exhibition....

Things I love about Christmas
What don’t I love about Christmas! I can think of an endless list about all the things I love about Christmas, but instead I’ll just give you my top 5:
5. Decorating the Christmas tree and the rest of the house
4. Sending handwritten Christmas cards to all my family and friends. And getting Christmas cards from my family and friends of course :)
